Registration for re:MARS, the company’s in-person event that explores advancements and practical applications within machine learning, automation, robotics, and space (MARS), remains open, with tickets on sale from the event’s website.
The roster of keynote speakers has expanded since registration first opened in March, and now includes Amazon executives Alicia Boler Davis, senior vice president, Customer Fulfillment; Dilip Kumar, vice president, Physical Retail and Technology; Rohit Prasad, senior vice president and head scientist, Alexa AI; Swami Sivasubramanian, Amazon Web Services (AWS) vice president, Data and ML Services; Tom Soderstrom, director and chief technologist, AWS Worldwide Public Sector; and Bill Vass, AWS vice president, Engineering.
In addition, innovation spotlight speakers will include Justin Cyrus, CEO, Lunar Outpost; Ariel Ekblaw, the founder and director of the MIT Space Exploration Initiative; Nicola Fox, division director, NASA Heliophysics; Jesse Levinson, chief technology officer, Zoox; Kevin O’Brien, CEO, Orbital Insight; Thomas Oxley, CEO, Synchron, Inc.; and Brent Sherwood, senior vice president, Advanced Development Programs, Blue Origin.
Moreover, leadership session speakers will include Jono Luk, vice president of product management, Webex; Melanie Stricklan, co-founder and chief executive officer, Slingshot Orbital; and Prem Natarajan, vice president, Alexa AI Natural Understanding.
The event’s host will be Adam Savage, the former co-host of the Discovery Channel series MythBusters, and current editor in chief of tested.com, which explores the intersection of science, popular culture, and emerging technology.

The re:MARS event team also recently released a series of Luminaries videos that explore MARS topics through the lens of distinguished professors, CEOS, and scientists. The series includes interviews with Bethany Ehlmann, professor of planetary science, Caltech, and research scientist, NASA JPL; Ayanna Howard, dean of engineering, Ohio State University; Hao Li, CEO and co-founder, Pinscreen; Maja Mataric, AI and robotics researcher and professor of computer science, neuroscience, and pediatrics, University of Southern California. Also included in the series are interviews with Prasad, and Soderstrom, two of Amazon’s keynote speakers.
