It all started when our founder, Layla, struggled to find cute and comfortable shoes she could wear all day long. After endless blisters and sore feet, she knew there had to be a better way.

Layla set out to design footwear that was equal parts fashionable, functional and affordable.

Every Velvode sneaker starts with carefully selected materials to provide cushioning and support right where you need it most. Our shoes feature memory foam insoles to cradle your feet, flexible outsoles to absorb shock, and comfortable uppers that feel like you’re walking on air.

We also believe in responsible production. Our sneakers are made in small batches to ensure quality. We work closely with our manufacturers to provide fair wages and safe working conditions.

How did we get our start?

Velvode, a Texas based company, was founded in 2022 by Layla who struggled to find stylish, comfortable, affordable shoes. After searching years for perfect sneakers, she created her own line catering to people seeking fashion, function, and affordability. Layla’s father, a 3rd generation shoemaker in Turkiye who manufactured for big European brands, provided the quality she wanted to bring to the U.S. affordably. This led to Velvode. With high quality Turkish craftsmanship, Layla takes pride in Velvode’s comfort, quality, and inclusivity.
