You have the choice to order an empty bag or use our filler system which has a base of rubber mulch and steel shot.

How do you fill up the weighted vest to max it out?

The APC Weighted Vest is designed to meet the general 14/20 lbs configurations for all Crossfit style competitions. You can extend the weight to reach up to 40lbs by adding in steel shot or BB’s into the fillers.

What is the best filler material to use for my gear?

We recommend using our filler system, however, if you prefer not to, you can use playground sand or pea gravel to get you started.
