Amazon Luna is bringing more games to even more customers around the world today with two major updates. First, we’ve teamed up with the GOG game store to offer a growing selection of more than 40 of their great games including Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, and Cuphead, bringing Luna customers more games to play.
Second, we’re bringing Luna’s cloud gaming service to gamers in Austria, the Netherlands, and Poland. Starting today, customers in these countries can experience cloud gaming on Luna and instantly play a wide selection of high-quality games without expensive hardware or lengthy downloads.
Launch of GOG Game Store
With a growing number of games to choose from, Luna is making it easier than ever to enjoy games from the GOG game store across devices they already own. Luna+ subscribers and Amazon Prime members can now purchase and play select games from the GOG store on any Luna-compatible device including Fire TV, Fire Tablets, select Samsung and LG smart TVs, iOS and Android mobile devices, and desktop devices (PCs, MacBooks, Chromebooks). Luna will continue expanding its selection of games from the GOG game store, bringing customers many more titles to choose from in the coming months.
Luna+ subscribers and Prime members can also play games from the GOG game store they already own by linking their existing GOG account on Luna — or set up a free GOG account and start building their game collection. Just go to Settings, click the Account Linking tab, and select Link Account or Create Account. Once linked, compatible games will appear ready to play in your Luna library.
“We are excited to team up with Amazon Luna to give customers more choice and flexibility in how they play. We trust Amazon to maintain GOG’s high standard for player experience, no matter where they play. This is a great opportunity to get our platform in front of a new audience of gamers on Fire TV and Fire tablets. This is just the beginning, and we will be adding more titles on an ongoing basis” said Maciej Gołębiewski, Managing Director of GOG.
Beginning now through July 11, customers can enjoy discounts of up to 80% off select games from the GOG game store during the GOG Summer Sale. Discounted games include Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, Cuphead, Metro: 2033 Redux, Metro: Last Light Redux, This War of Mine, Blasphemous 2, Worms Revolution, and The Invincible.
Luna Comes to Austria, the Netherlands, and Poland
Today, we welcome gamers in Austria, the Netherlands, and Poland to the Luna family. In addition to the growing selection of games from the GOG game store, customers in these countries can now start playing hit games like Fortnite, retro favorites, casual titles, and AAA releases — all without lengthy game downloads or updates, expensive hardware upgrades, or complicated configurations. Simply access Luna on a compatible device and start playing.
Amazon Prime members have access to Fortnite, LEGO Fortnite, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas as well as a rotating selection of games each month at no additional cost. This month, Prime members can play Metro Exodus, Bee Simulator, Overcooked, and Inertial Drift.
Customers can unlock a wide variety of additional games with Luna’s subscriptions — Luna+, Ubisoft+, or Jackbox Games. Customers can also link their Ubisoft account to play select PC games they already own, or purchase hit Ubisoft games like Assassins Creed: Mirage, Rainbow Six Seige, and The Crew Motorfest.
The Luna Controller, designed for low-latency cloud gaming, is also now available for purchase in Austria and for pre-order in the Netherlands and Poland. Thanks to Luna Controller’s Cloud Direct technology, customers can seamlessly switch between compatible screens — for example, from a Fire TV to mobile phone — without additional pairing or setup.
