Before beginning, make sure have all of your pieces handy. This is anything that may have fallen off when the key itself did. Oftentimes keys fall off after the laptop has been dropped or mishandled.

Gather all necessary pieces that may have come off with the key.

The key itself.The white hinge piece. If the white hinge worn out, please install the white hinge first, and then install the black key cap. If not , you can directly install the black key cap.

Orient the white hinge piece in the proper position.

Make sure the white butterfly hinge is in place properly, or the key will not stay on.

This piece, the rubber cap, doesn’t come off often. But if it does, you can reinstall it by pressing down on the middle.
